How strong is the current aircraft market?
Strong.  Since early 2004 values have increased across the board.  With new ship orders stretching several years into the future, it is not likely that we will see values decline in the short-term.

What is the actual value of my aircraft?
Av-One provides detailed valuations of aircraft based on a number of factors, i.e. total time, component status, installed equipment, and history measured against current market conditions. The leading aviation financial institutions regularly contract Av-One to calculate the value of both helicopters and airplanes. Our concentrated focus on this small market segment allows you to have confidence in the accuracy of Av-One's information.

It takes between 60 and 120 days for anyone to properly initate full world-wide advertising, draw prospects, answer questions, negotiate and close a transaction with payment in full.

What fees, taxes and commissions are involved in buying or selling an aircraft?
Av-One charges the seller an "industry-standard" commission that is paid only upon sale of an aircraft from closing funds. Global advertising, representation of product, coordination of inspections, handling of customer visits, as well as completing all documentation necessary for closing and for import/export are included at no additional charge.

In the USA, interstate transactions negate state requirements to collect sales tax. Each US state has its own requirements to domicile an aircraft. In advance of purchase, Av-One can advise the buyer on acceptable registration methods to resolve tax and liability issues.

IRS approved "like-kind exchanges" can be structured to avoid paying unnecessary capital gains taxes in the USA.

There are no importation or exportation fees for aircraft.

How can I be sure that there are no hidden commissions in the transaction?
Av-One structures all transactions directly between the real buyer and real seller to avoid the possibility that some of the monies might be siphoned off before reaching the seller. Many brokers or dealers prefer to "run the transaction through their books". This creates the opportunity for some of the funds to be diverted. If there is a tax advantage to the seller to have the transaction go through Av-One, we are pleased to do. However, both the buyer and seller must agree to this process so everyone is aware of exactly what funds are being collected and paid.

If I list my aircraft with Av-One for sale, can I continue to use it until sold?
You can continue to enjoy the use of your aircraft until sold. Av-One will come to your aircraft and will arrange for customers to see and inspect your aircraft at your preferred location. With our international contacts, we can arrange pre-purchase inspections, necessary maintenance, and completion work and documentation necessary for import/export and shipping.

Is a lease-purchase possible?
A lease-purchase is highly improbable. Only if the seller is willing to finance the transaction can a lease-purchase be structured since all aviation lending institutions prefer to finance only for a purchase. Generally, sellers desire to sell their asset outright and receive full payment at closing.

Av-One can assist with introductions to the leading aviation financial institutions for you to establish aircraft financing outside of your normal banking sources.
